Having two Border Collies is like having really smart 3 year olds around all the time. They are always outsmarting me in every way possible. But, I kinda love it. Having really smart dogs means that you have to keep them physically and mentally stimulated at all time. Getting them exercise is the easy part, just a 2 hour trip to Central Park and then later on in the day a two hour trip to the dog park. But, when it come to the mental stuff, like I said they are smarter than me! So I can only teach them so many tricks, that I know how to teach. So with that being said I love when I find toys that can work their minds in ways that I can not. Nina-Ottosson has blown my mind and my pups with her amazing assortment of toys for your smart pup!

Nina-Ottosson worked in health care for 17 years and also had two kids under two, so when it came time to be activate with her dogs the way she use to had become harder and harder. She then started to development and design for dog activity toys and games that stimulate the dogs mentally.

Dog Tornado has four layers of rotating discs. In three layers there are compartments where treats can be hidden. The dog/cat has to learn to rotate the different layers in different directions with its nose or paw in order to find the hidden goodies.

Size medium. Fun activity toy to be filled with dog treats It wobbles, rocks and throws out pieces of treats when the dog pushes and plays with it. Made of soft and strong TPE, a material similar to rubber, for quiet play inside the house.

The dog is to look for treats by pulling out the flaps in different directions. In each flap there is a compartment where the treat can be hidden. Increase the degree of difficulty by locking the flaps using the bone-shaped pegs on top. A tip is to place a treat under a peg.

The dog is to look for treats by moving blocks in four different directions. The block can only be lifted up at the end of each track, underneath each block there is a compartment where treats can be hidden…

Place some treats or dry food bits in the slots. Allow your dog to move the blocks using its paw or nose and in doing so move the treats towards the edge, where they can fall out through one of the holes on the side. The blocks cannot be lifted up.

All of the games and toys are made with splinter-free, poison-free and some are FDA tested and approved for food. All of the wooden toys are made in Sweden with all natural MDF material and are all vertifed, which mean that no formaldehyde is added to any toys.
