All canines are invited to get their splash on during the K-9 Kerplunk Dog Swim on Sunday, September 8. This annual Parks and Recreation event is perfect for dogs looking to have a blast frolicking at Oak Point Recreation Center. Treat your pets to some quality time in the outdoor shallow pool at the Center (6000 Jupiter Road) from 9 a.m. to noon.
All dogs are welcome to play (swim suits, optional) as long as their rabies vaccinations are current. Plano Animal Shelter staff will set up their adoption trailer on site and provide on-the-spot microchipping. Things to remember for K-9 Kerplunk:
Dogs are not allowed in the indoor pool – outdoor pool ONLY.
Pet owners are not allowed in the water with the dogs.
Lemonade and goodies provided by Raising Cane’s.
Admission to K-9 Kerplunk is free, BUT you’re asked to bring a donated item for the Animal Shelter.
