Coco-Berry Treats

Summer is just around the corner and that means sunny, hot days. There is nothing my pups love more than a cold treat when they come in from being maniacs in the backyard or after the park. So, when thinking of what treats to give them, I also want to make sure that they are getting the best of the best and something that is cooling them down, itching that taste bud and most of all, helping their health. There are so many great things about coconut oil, not only us hoomans, but for our fur babies as well. You can check out the post we did on how PAWfect it is here!

These easy and fast DIY treats are perfect for every dog mom out there. You can make them faster than watching an episode of Grey's Anatomy. Actually, scratch that! An episode of Friends. And the best thing about them is that they are so good for you little ball of fur, you can give them one after a hot day’s stroll, a just because treat, or you can throw one into their dinner every night!

Ingredients

Small silicone mold

1/2 cup coconut oil in solid form

Frozen blueberries

Instructions

  1. Place a frozen blueberry into each in the silicone mold and then set aside.

  2. In a small saucepan, heat coconut oil until it liquifies.

  3. Allow coconut oil to cool for a few minutes, then carefully pour oil into the mold.
