Puppy Baby Mama: Angela

Have you ever been on the gram and run across an account that gives you all the feels while making you strangely jealous but it the best way possible all that same time? Well, we have and this weeks #woofcruchwednesday and Puppy Baby Mama Angela and her fur-baby Maxwell are about to give you all those feels as well! This adorable duo is taking over the mother-son fashion scene one matching post at a time and we are obsessed! We asked Angels some questions about her love story with Maxwell, their perfect day together, favorite brands and so much more! Check it out!

How did you and your pup find each other?

After losing my Rottweiler to cancer just shy of his 9th Birthday it left a huge void and although I vowed not to get another dog right away I really wanted to fill it. I followed a few shelters on Facebook and came across a litter of puppies whose mother while pregnant with the pups had been rescued from a beach in Puerto Rico. There were only two pups available when I drove up to see them and Max was the guy they put in my arms. It was love at first sight. I signed the papers right there and the rest is history.

What are your top three favorite dog brands and why?

This is hard! There are so many we love but the first two have a special place with us. And are in no particular order!

@shopdogthreads This company makes the most amazing shirts and the owners are as great as their product. They are our go to for looking fabulous and always fit perfectly. And I’m not embarrassed to admit we own about two dozen! They are super fashionable and incredibly made. The quality of the fabrics are second to none, soft and durable, and have great details like their real wood buttons. They are also the creators of @thebbqshirt where you can find both human and hound sizes. You can see us twinning in them on our account!

@shop_ariandm Another company that has great style, quality and attention to detail. We love Ari and Maitri of @honeyidressedthepug whose incredible style and instagram feed inspired us to start doing our own human and hound pics. When they launched their new line of uber fashionable and boho inspired accessories we were sold! The line includes collars, leashes, bandanas, pouches, and separate tassels that can be added by clipping on to your dogs leash for an extra bit of cool. All the items and styles can be mixed and matched and add the best pop of color & style to any outfit your dog or YOU are wearing!

It’s just too hard to pinpoint one other brand we love!

Our go-to’s for unique, stylish and high quality leashes and collars are @houndcollection, @seescoutsleep and @foundmyanimal who has a great mission too!

For items like coats and vests we love @lucyand.co’s puffer vest, very stylish, durable, and warm. And @foufoubrands makes an incredible puffer with fleece lining that we always get asked about. It’s our fave!

For bandanas there are so many great companies. We love the quality and designs of @thefoggydog, @ruffrag, and we recently got a beautiful double sided bandana with tassels from @tao_pablo that we really love. And they are all hand made!

What is your perfect day date with your pup like in your city?

Our typical day date usually starts off with a stroll through town and the local shops and in the warmer months visiting the farmers markets. Of course there are a fair amount of stops for photo ops along the way too! After Max decides we’ve taken a sufficient amount of photos (when he stops cooperating lol) we head to our fave spot, weather permitting, for lunch outdoors where Max gets his own “children’s” burger with cheese, no bun, and sometimes a little bacon if he’s been extra good. Afterwards we stroll a little more to walk off our lunch and then top it off with some ice cream!

How did you build your dog's account?

I didn’t know much about Instagram or use it when I started his account, but it looked like a great place to keep all of his photos instead of just on my computer and I quickly learned just how big dog accounts on Instagram were! I started out just posting everyday photos of him and then I started discovering all of the amazing products and clothes that were available and I loved the adorable way people dressed their pets for pictures. Then we became inspired to start taking our human and hound pics! Which is a lot of fun! There are so many great resources for managing and building these accounts but we really just do it as a hobby and to have fun, and it’s a really great community.

If you are looking for some inspiration for your own personal gram and just a load of cuteness, do yourself a huge favor and follow this pair!
