DIY Hypoallergenic Treats

Making hypoallergenic dog treats is super easy, as long as you know what type of allergy your pup has. I don’t think Abbie and Gunner have any allergies (maybe sensitivities) but I like making these treats for a healthier option (gluten free, etc) and there are only 4 ingredients needed!

Try these for an easy, fun, and healthy treat option!

** If your pup is allergic to chicken, switch it out for another bone broth (beef or pork)! You can even switch out the broth for water, although these would be pretty tasteless so I’d suggest adding some other sort of flavor. **

INGREDIENTS

1 ¼ cups Rice Flour

3 tbsp. cold pressed, unrefined Coconut Oil

½ tsp. Salt

1/3 cup Bone Broth or Water

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 325˚.

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until you get the consistency of playdough. You may need to add an additional 1-2 tablespoons of liquid to get the right consistency. We added a little more bone broth.

Knead the dough until smooth then roll out on a lightly floured surface to ¼ inch. Cut out shapes with a cute dog-shaped cookie cutter or make rectangles with a knife or pizza wheel. Your pups aren’t picky! They just want the treat!!

Place the treats on a cookie and bake for 15-20 minutes until just slightly browned on the bottoms.

Cool for 10 minutes, treat your precious pups, and store in an airtight container up to 7 days!
