Giving Back in a Big Way this December
As a child and young teenager, I saw a lot of selfless people donate their time, effort, resources, and sometimes money to help those in need. Because I grew up in a home with a single mother and two other sisters, we were often on the receiving end of those selfless acts. I believe that my upbringing has helped me blossom into a service-driven adult. I, in no way, mean to toot my own horn! I just want to give what I can, when I can. (BARE WITH ME! I PROMISE TO MAKE THE CONNECTION TO DOGS SOON!)
Whether you believe that God will bless you for your efforts or that the Earth will send good karma back your way, I truly believe that serving (in any shape or form) is exactly what the world needs to bring us together. Because service is love. When I find a company that gives back from the goodness of their heart, I just have to share! (I may just have to start a new blog series of my favorite businesses that give back!)
Giving Back has always been part of our 2 Hounds Design’s culture! And this year their goal is to donate 1,000 items (collars, leashes, harnesses) during the month of December. Their employees are all geared up and ready to go! So let’s help them not only hit their goals, but pass it!!!
We are inviting you to join the challenge! For the entire month of December, use the links on this page to order items (Nylon Collars and Leashes or Freedom Harness/Leash sets) that are always needed by shelters, rescues and adoption groups, and tell 2 Hounds Design who they should go to*. They will donate an equal number and even add some items to top it off!
When you purchase 3 items, 2 Hounds Design donates 4 items (group receives a total of 7)
When you purchase 6 items, 2 Hounds Design donates 7 items (group receives a total of 13)
Plus, the organization* you designate to receive the items will be entered into the drawing for a $250 Walmart Gift Card (can be used for shelter supplies, food, beds, whatever will help!). Each time a group is designated as a purchase recipient, that group will receive one entry. (No purchase necessary, see details below.)

On January 2nd, 2 Hounds Design will take all of the entries and put them into a “hat” from which they will draw the Gift Card winner. The winning group can use it on whatever they need – food, supplies, vet care, etc.
