Okay, so, maybe you have noticed I was totally not kidding about how much I love this thing! It’s super soft, easy to wipe clean, and the desiiiiiign. OH MY GOSH! Do you see those cute faces on it?! Seeing Abbie and Gunner’s faces while I do downward dog makes me actually WANT to do some postpartum workouts!

And have you seen these pet pawtraits of the Gal’s Best Friend squad?!! PERFECTION.

Get to know the fabulous, animal-loving artist behind 12 Past 7 Designs! Her name is Kaitlin... And she’s straight up awesome.

How did you get started in this industry? I've been sketching and doodling since I was a little girl. I've always loved expressing myself on pen and paper. Recently, I started experimenting with digital illustrations when I got my first Wacom tablet 2 years ago, which is when I began working on custom commissions!

Tell us about your pet(s)! I don't currently have any pets, but I've previously had a pound puppy and a retired racing greyhound. I am a HUGE dog lover, and adore all breeds. I'm also obsessed with llamas and sloths (as my artwork shows!) I enjoy spending time with my friends' and family's fur babies!

What and who influence your work? Bright colors and whimsical style influence my work. I love the work of Joy Cho (@ohjoy), Brittany Watson Jepsen (@houselarsbuilt), Megan Roy (@roymeister), and Cat Coquillette (@catcoq). Funky patterns and larger than life illustrations make me happy!

What is/are your fav dog brands and why? I am obsessed with all things BarkBox, they have the cutest toys ever and the best marketing campaigns.

What is new for 12 Past 7 Designs in 2019? I will, of course, continue to do my signature custom pet illustrations. I also plan on expanding my line of print artwork. Additionally, after a successful run with holiday cards in 2018, I'm going to be expanding my custom stationary line.

All 12 Past 7 products have minimal packaging and are made using recycled materials in an ongoing effort to leave a smaller footprint on our earth. If you ordered a portrait or canvas, the beaut will be mailed to you and arrive at your doorstep! If you ordered a doormat, it will be mailed to you and dropped off at its new home… literally… at your doorstep! If you ordered stationary, it will be mailed to you as well.

A little more about the artist: Kaitlin lives in Washington D.C. and works as a marketer and digital illustrator. She also runs Fierce Girls Entrepreneurs Club, an online community for female founders. She specializes in design and content for small businesses, startups, and solopreneurs. Her favorite pastimes are playing with rescue dogs, networking, reading brilliant words, and sketching on her design tablet. She is passionate about people (including the four-legged furry variety) and digital design, firmly believing that when you combine people, art, and technology you can truly create magic.

To answer my own question at the beginning of this post, yes, you can be addicted to a company! I plan to get every member of my family on mugs, doormats, canvas, and so much more! Why? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… I am totally and utterly infatuated with 12 Past 7 Designs, duh! Now, excuse me while I go eat pizza on the world’s coolest yoga mat.
