Puppy Baby Mama- Caroline
I know we all remember Comet- America’s favorite dog! Like many others out there, my obsession with dogs was only intensified when the fluffy Golden Retriever joined the Full House family. Well fast forward 20 years later, when I stumbled upon Holden, the picture perfect Golden, I was taken back to my childhood and was instantly star struck!
Caroline, the mom of Holden and Sophia (her newest rescue) is my dog mom role model. One look at her pictures and you’re hooked, screenshotting and tagging all of your dog mom friends... wishing you could hang out with them! The love they share is genuine and the adventures they embark on, make us all slightly jealous! Not to mention- she started making her very own dog bandanas! #talent
This awesome trio was so kind to let us interview her. We are thrilled to share her story with our readers and highlight another trend setting dog mom!
How did you and your pup find each other?
I was seventh on the list to get a puppy, and Splash (Holden's mom) had seven puppies. It was meant to be! I would visit him like every two weeks starting when he was four weeks old, and finally got to bring my sweet pup home on May 16, 2015!
My second cute pup is miss Sophie who we rescued last July. Her and Holden have become the best of friends and she is already so special to us!
What are your top 3 favorite dog brands and why?
Well, funny you ask! I started a dog bandana and bow tie company last February called Waggin' Tails. Honestly, Holden was the main inspiration for me creating it. I was looking at him one day and thought "You are SO cute, but I bet I could make you even cuter!" The next day, I bought a sewing machine, taught myself how to sew, and the rest is history! I also love Crew Lala for the pups' collars, and Ruff Wear for harnesses and leashes.
What is the perfect day date with your pup like in your city?
Holden and I LOVE to hike. I am from a small mountain town in NC, so when I go home to visit my parents, of course I bring the pup with me. We love to hike the Linville Gorge, and Holden is super into it. He isn't afraid of the big rocks he has to jump on or anything. It's so cute because he will actually look at me first to make sure it is safe and okay for him to jump over things first. He's pretty awesome.
What is your best advice to build social accounts?
I always tell people not to be afraid to start! I started Holden's insta with the idea of keeping cute photos of him all in one place, and now he has over 25K followers who truly love him.
Who are your favorite dogs or dog moms to follow?
Obvi Doug the Pug and his mom Leslie. Scout Golden Retriever is great too!
Is there anything else you would like to share?
Another thing that is special about Holden is that while we were at UNC, I started a UNC Bucket List for him, where he actually got to meet the Chancellor, high five our famous basketball coach, eat at all of the famous restaurants. We even got graduation photos together! If you are interested in more info on any of that, let me know! "Holden" actually blogged about everything he completed on his blog https://holdenthegolden.org.
