Homemade Calming Mist for Anxious Dogs

If you know me and my fur kids, you know Abbie has some serious anxiety issues, ESPECIALLY when meeting new dogs. That’s why we’ve created a calming mist for her before we head out to dog parks, influencer appearances, and for long car rides.

This blend is SUPER easy and quick to make and you can just throw it in your purse if you’re an on-the-go gal! Nice thing about this DIY is that you can use it on yourself if you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or need a little help falling asleep at night. It’s a win for everyone!

Accessories:

16-ounce spray bottle

Ingredients:

Distilled water

Lavender essential oil

Roman Chamomile essential oil

Rosemary essential oil

Directions:

Add 10 drops of each essential oil to your 16-ounce spray bottle, then fill up with distilled water. Shake before each use and spray around your pup! It’s seriously that easy!

Warning:

Do not spray near eyes! That means don’t spray in your or your dog’s face!

Tip 1:

Spray on your hands and give your pup a nice ear rub or body massage to work the blend into their system.

Tip 2:

We only use Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils from DoTERRA. After doing extensive research and testing out different brands/companies, I’ve found they are the most effective and safe.
