Honey Lavender Calming Biscuits

I’ve been researching calming treats lately because I have some big trips coming up! I don’t want the dogs to be super anxious while I’m gone and I can’t rely on dog sitters to apply their essential oils as necessary. As I have found calming treats online and in stores, I noticed that most of them contain CBD oil. I have mixed feelings about CBD oil due to their claims but that’s a topic for a different day! I wanted all natural treats so I decided to make my own!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 °F.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and peanut butter.

  3. Add in the flour and baking powder to make a sticky dough.

  4. Drizzle honey on the mixture, drip your lavender essential oil, and mix in by using your hands to work in the last ingredients.

  5. Flour a work surface and roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut into desired sizes depending on the size of your dog.

  6. Bake on a foil-lined baking tray at 325°F for 25 minutes.

  7. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container. (Dog biscuits can also be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.)
