The Gals Take New York

Being the only gal of the group not in Texas can be very sad at times. I miss being able to meet Chelsea, Jessica and the dogs at Mutts in Uptown or going to grab dinner with them at any one of our favorite Tex-Mex spots. To put it lightly, I suffer from major FOMO! That’s why when they came to New York City a few weeks ago, my heart was SO full of happiness and joy! And what made it even better was that they brought Drake and Abbie with them as well! Having them and all the dogs together, here in the best city on earth, was such a blessing!

We had just 5 days together but we made sure to pack it with as much dog-friendly New York City stuff as we could! Starting with our #dogmomAF event that we co-hosted with WTFrenchie and Wear Wag Repeat! Thank you all who attended!!! We had such an amazing turnout and such a great time! You can read more about the event here!

Central Park was a MUST as it was highly requested by Abbie and Drake. What dog wouldn't want to go to the best dog park on earth? We got there early and hit a little of the off-leash hours and then we met up with one of our favorite NYC based pet-photographers Natalie Siebers! She, of course, got some amazing photos of all of us at the park after the dogs were worn out by chasing squirrels, balls and, well, Abbie was on total bird watch!

I live in Brooklyn, so we had a lot of time to roam the streets lined with brownstones and head to the amazing parks and restaurants that BK offers! I think the dogs favorite part was the off-leash hours at Prospect Park. If you haven't heard of Prospect Park and their famous off-leash hours, then make sure you put it on your doggy bucket list! It’s basically Brooklyn Central Park and every morning there are about 400+ dogs there running, playing, fetching and living their best life!

Having two of your best friends come to NYC during the peak of Summer, I knew I had to take them to The Hamptons! What kind of friend would I be to deprive them of this?! So, that's exactly what we did! We gals, along with Tori and Lucy of Wear Wag Repeat, and our bestie photographer, Natalie, and her pup, all piled in the car and drove 3 hours to Southampton for the weekend! It was amazing! The dogs ran for hours on the beach, we drank bottles and bottles of Rose (as you do in the Hamptons) and we were total foodies!

Basically, we had the best week ever together! And we can’t wait for our next group trip and #dogmomaf event! Where should we go next? Leave your suggestions below!
