Topping Rose House

There is nothing like going away for the weekend, and there is really nothing like going with your fur-babies. Every-time I go out of town without at least one of my pups I truly do feel empty, so when I get to go with all of them or at least 2 of them my heart is so full. One of our favorite places to go is out east to The Hamptons. I love how homey it feels and the pups love being out of the city. They live for the beach! When you live in New York City, you have to find a way to get away with your fur-babies and traveling east is the best way to go, we try to do it as much as we can! We also rent a car for the weekend and use our Kurgo seat cover to makes sure there is no trace of puppy when we return it (wink wink)! There are plenty of towns to check out as well! You have South Hamptons, East Hamptons, Sag Harbor, Montauk and all the small towns in between! We love all of them! The beaches, the shopping, the people, the food, it's just like living in a dream! AND if you’re out there on the right weekend you might even catch yourself sitting next to your favorite actor while grabbing brunch!

It can be kind of difficult finding a hotel out east that will not only welcome you, but your pups too. So when you find one, you hold on tight to it! When we came across The Topping Rose House in Bridgehamptons, my mind was blown! Not only is it beyond beautiful but they are super dog friendly! Bridgehamptons is right in between South Hamptons and Sag Harbor, so there is a lot to do! About a month ago, Pharrell, Rosie and I went out for the weekend to stay at The Topping Rose House, it was magical!

It was built in 1842 for one of Bridgehampton most prominent citizens, Today Topping Rose House is 175 years old and still so beautiful! This amazing mansion is only one of a few of its kind still standing, which makes staying there even more special! It is The Hamptons first full-service luxury and pet friendly hotel with 22 amazing rooms! They also have a full spa, fitness center, heated outdoor pool, events space and even shuttles that take you to and from the beaches. Wait, that's not it, they also have a farm to table restaurant. They actually gather produce from their own one acre farm, in addition to getting the best ingredients from other local farmers and fisherman! Y’all this place is one of kind! They were also so very attentive to me and the pups during our entire stay!

After we check in to The Topping Rose house, we grabbed the pups and headed to the Sag Harbor Village! All the stores are pretty much pet friendly, so it was great for some Hamptons shopping and also some GREAT people watching! There is nothing like people watching in the Hamptons yall! After walking around this charming town square that was like walking in a snow globe we headed back to the hotel to get ready for dinner! To say the food was amazing is a total understatement, the dinner we had was to die for, and don't even get me started on ginger margaritas! The best part about going out east with the pups is just relaxing! After dinner we went back to the room, slipped into the best robes ever, we opened a bottle of wine, had a major puppy cuddle sesh and watched Lifetime all night long!

After a great night of sleep in the most dreamy bed i’ve ever slept in, we heading to the restaurant for breakfast before heading the beach! Another amazing thing about Topping Rose House, is that the beach is literally a 10 min drive down the street, you run RIGHT into it! During the off-season (Sept- May) all the beaches in Long Island are dog friendly, so that mean hours of running up and down the beach with the pups! There is nothing like the Hamptons beaches, there is truly nothing like it, the sand dunes with the mansions right behind you, the soft sand and the beautiful sunsets! It might be my dog's favorite place in the world to be, and i don't blame them. After we left the beach we headed to East Hampton to the biggest dog park in Long Island to let these two Border Collies get out whatever energy they had left out before heading back to the city.

Like I said, finding a great place to stay out east that is also pet friendly can sometime be a challenge, so when you find a good one and in this case a GREAT one you hold on to it. We will totally be going back to Topping Rose House in 2018, it is in the perfect location, close to a great beach, beautiful rooms with so much history and amazing food! If you are in New York and are looking to get out of this crazy city for a few days, I can't stress enough how amazing Topping Rose House is!
